A good friend of mine, Dana H., has posted the following status update on her Facebook Profile:

“People need to understand that children with special needs don’t have an illness, they are not looking for a cure only acceptance. 93% of you probably won’t copy and paste this! Will you be in the 7% that will and leave it on your status for at least an hour? Special Education week March 27nd to April 3rd. Go on, copy and paste!”

So go ahead, support this and update your Facebook statuses accordingly 🙂 Be the 7 %! Be the change

    yaaaaaaaay thanks for the shoutout! support the cause 🙂

  2. Looks like your site is getting alot of visitors. Are you doing any time of special coding to make your site appear so well in the search engines? Great Job!

  3. A friend posted a variation of this today, my daughter saw it on her wall and re-posted, then my sister saw it on hers and followed suit. Funny thing is; today was Sept. 28, 2010. The new version read like this;

    “Children with special needs only want what we all want – to be accepted. Can I make a request of anyone willing to post this and leave it on your status for at least an hour? It is Special Education week, and this is in honor of all children who learn a little differently”

    So keep re-posting folks! We can make Special Education Week last all year. And sincerely; no reason it shouldn’t. A good cause is just that, all year long.
