OperaUnite = Social Cloud Computing?!

“The latest beta of the Opera browser introduces a new feature called Unite, which lets users run a web server and host their own applications on a custom social networking platform, all from their desktop machines.” – Scott Gilbertson, Wired

Let’s see how this works and how far it can scale! From the description and short video they have on their website, I’m intrigued! I have to say though it raises a couple of questions marks regarding security and privacy I’m sure, but hey, for the convenience of non-sensitive data, why not, right?!

Can this type of web experience be labeled as Web 2.5 or even 3?!
