I just read in the local newspaper that one of Kuwait’s private hospitals is planning to open up an Umbilical Cord Blood Stem Cell Bank here in Kuwait! Dar AlShifa Hospital held a press conference to announce the bank launch with collaboration of British New Care International. Families will be able to store their newborn’s umbilical cord blood stem cell to use in case the newborn or a family member requires it for treatment purposes.

Let’s hope this good project keeps up to the highest international standards, trains and educated local workforce, while saving lives.
