I just finished watching a great TED Talk about Bacterial Communication by Bonnie Bassler. Such a great speaker and an interesting talk. She puts everything in easy words for anyone to understand, so if you aren’t a bio geek, don’t you worry!

Her group’s discovery maybe the answer to resistant and multi-drug resistant bacteria.

Bonnie Bassler discovered that bacteria “talk” to each other, using a chemical language that lets them coordinate defense and mount attacks. The find has stunning implications for medicine, industry — and our understanding of ourselves. – TED Talks
