At work today a colleague of mine gave me the .iso image for the Chrome OS LiveCD! It’s pretty sweet I tell you. I ran it as a virtual machine on VMWare with only 1 GB of RAM and it was amazing. I must admit though that I was over excited and forgot to change the memory configuration; it was left @ 256 MB!! The Virtual Machine ran slow, but was good for low-end web-browsing and word editing.
So far … Soooo GOOOOOOOOD! Google, I LOVE YOU ♥
Update: So as it turns out by many comments, which you can read below, This is NOT Google’s Chrome OS
But hey, if it was, it would be cool anyway.
Update 2: Thanks to Nakoolt, here’s the REAL deal of Chrome OS, a.k.a. Chromium OS. ENJOY!
I will remind you that this isnt the real one and that it was made in openSUSE studio which even I can do, its fan made, google aint released it yet
as far as you know it’s fake.
Your enthusiasm is nice, but this is a fake. This is not Google Chrome OS.
If you are interested in alternative operating systems be sure to check out Haiku OS. The Alpha version has just been released, it is compatible with BeOS and is something to look out for in the future. Requires just a 2GB partition or can be run off a USB flash drive. Read more about it here:
